The stress that's easy to dismiss.
It looks like nothing. It behaves like everything else you carry.
I want to talk about something small this week. Small in how it looks from the outside, not in what it costs you.
Getting dressed isn't really the problem.
The problem is what happens in your head while you're doing it.
Will this read as trying too hard?
Will this read as not caring enough?
What will people think if I wear this two days in a row.?
You've already made forty decisions before 8am, and THIS is the one that makes you want to sit down on the floor of your closet.
That's not about the clothes.
That's decision fatigue wearing a costume, plus a low hum of worry about how you'll be read by everyone who looks at you today. Neither one has anything to do with fashion.
If getting dressed leaves you more tired than it should, that's not vanity. That's your nervous system doing the math on how you'll be perceived, one more time, before you've even had coffee.
This month we're looking at what that math is actually costing you with our them Dress with Less Stress.
One more thing before I go. Early bird registration is open for the Stress Zodiac Retreat, November 6-8, a private home in Kissimmee, six to eight women, three days. AN unplugged retreat that allows you to fully recharge.
We will be focusing on Vacation stress and what follows us when we go away, and what tools to use when we return.
Members get first access to the lowest rate and I truly hope to see you there!
Big hugs,
Cindy
