Common Questions

My approach is solution-focused and goal-oriented. We are not here to process indefinitely. We are here to identify what's not working, build practical tools, try them out, and adjust based on what you're actually experiencing. The goal is progress you can feel, not a standing weekly appointment with no end in sight.

Most clients see meaningful change within a focused period of work. When you've built the skills and you're ready, we start meeting less. That's a good outcome, not a loss.

I specialize in anxiety, stress, OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and relationship and family challenges. I use a mix of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and ERP depending on what you're working through. I work with adults, young adults, couples, and families.

I work with individuals, couples, and families virtually across Florida and New York. My clients range from adults managing anxiety and burnout to high-achieving young adults navigating the transition into the workforce, to families learning how to support a loved one with OCD. I am a bilingual Latina therapist, fluent in Spanish, and my practice is inclusive and affirming of the LGBTQIA+ community.

We review your intake forms, talk about what brought you here, and identify your goals. You'll leave with a clear picture of what our work will look like and what the next steps are. If by the end of that session it doesn't feel like a good fit, I will help you find someone who is.

Yes. Most people are nervous the first time. We go at your pace. The first session is about getting clear on what you're dealing with and what you want to change, not diving into the deep end before you're ready.

That depends on what you're working through, but my approach is intentionally focused. I am not a long-term therapist by design. The goal is to give you the tools, practice them with you, and get you to a place where you don't need me as much.

Some clients reach their goals in a few months. Others continue longer depending on their needs. You're always welcome to return if something new comes up.

I accept both insurance and private pay clients. Rates vary depending on session length and type. If you're paying out of pocket, superbills are available for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We'll review your options during the consultation.

A valid credit card is required to hold your appointment. Payments are processed securely online. Auto-pay is available.

Telehealth means we meet virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You need a stable internet connection and a private space. A laptop, tablet, or phone all work. Sessions feel like a regular appointment, just without the commute.

Yes. Everything you share stays private, with the standard legal and ethical exceptions. If there is intent to harm yourself or others, or evidence of abuse, I am required to report. Your privacy is taken seriously.
